Medical Assistant 2 (contract)

About the role

The Medical Assistant 2 is the first point of contact for patient care. This role involves both administrative duties and patient care responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs computations
• Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses
• Delivers direct patient care dependent on active certification
• Collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms
• Performs diagnostic tests and vital sign measurements

Requirements

• 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
• Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)
• Current CPR certification
• Less than 2 years of Professional leadership experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Bilingual
• Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Experience with HEDIS
• Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from AAMA, NHA, ARMA, NAHP, AMT, or AART
• Rad tech license (AART)

Pay

Pay Rate Range: 19 - 22 USD hourly

Schedule

This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer.
