Medical Assistant-1
About the role
Effectively check in and prepare patients for office visits, examinations, and procedures. Obtain vital signs, perform in-office procedures and treatments (EKG, spirometry, peak flow, bone density, nebulizer treatments), and relay laboratory test results. Obtain and record patient histories (medical, surgical, social, etc.), medications, and allergies. Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with examinations or in-office procedures. Prepare and administer immunizations and injections as ordered, and monitor patients afterward. Handle incoming phone calls from patients, pharmacies, other physician offices, testing resources, and insurance companies. Notify patients of test results and provide follow-up instructions. Review and process prescription refill requests according to office protocols. Clean and sanitize examination and procedure rooms, as well as instruments.

- Monitor patients after injections or vaccinations
- Handle incoming phone calls from patients, pharmacies, other offices, testing resources, and insurance companies
- Notify patients of test results and provide follow-up instructions
- Review and process prescription refill requests according to office protocols
- Clean and sanitize examination and procedure rooms
- Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
