Nature of Work
Assigned cases to determine the eligibility of applicants for Medical Assistance. Review client information for continued eligibility, maintain case materials and resolve problems for the Medical Assistance for Families/Maryland Children’s Health Program (MA4F/MCHP). Once eligibility is determined, clients are provided with comprehensive medical coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
- Notes: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate with two years of experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance or federal or state entitlement program, and/or in coordination of care. From an accredited college or university may be considered in place of the required education.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medicaid policy, Maryland Health Connection and Medicaid Management Information System.
- Basic understanding of health insurance plans.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Must be able to complete a reading, writing and speech basic test.
