About the role
As an IRM Medical Advisor, you will provide written medical advice to caseworkers, panel members, and the Contract Manager about individual applicants' suitability to foster/adopt, including ad hoc advice on medical emergencies or requests for information.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical advice on individual applicant suitability.
- Respond to inquiries about health issues that may affect foster/adoptive suitability.
- Offer guidance during the preparation of IRM panels, especially in cases of medical emergencies.
- Address requests for information related to specific conditions or general information.
Requirements
- Familiarity with fostering and adoption processes.
- Knowledge of medical conditions and their impact on foster/adoptive suitability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with review panels and caseworkers.
Qualifications
- Relevant medical qualifications.
- Experience in providing medical advice in a professional setting.
