Medicaid Program Specialist - Remote in Columbia, South Carolina
About the Role
Conducts market research to support product and program development, strategic planning, and market growth initiatives. Leads implementation and evaluation of marketing projects, providing recommendations for product enhancements and performance optimization. Oversees the Medicaid Extra Benefits Program, including vendor management, budget oversight, reporting, member escalations, compliance with SCDHHS requirements, and support for Member Services and Care Management. Leads annual planning, program enhancements, member communications, and internal training.
Responsibilities
- Research, coordinate, manage, and implement major marketing projects.
- Manage product/program after launch/implementation, including promotional campaigns, strategic planning, and product management.
- Develop and conduct primary market research related to competitors, industry analysis, customer analysis, market trends, portfolio analysis, product development, and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external companies and vendors.
- Ensure all activities align within the strategic plan, timeline, and budget.
- Manage the development of project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation.
- Identify teamwork and testing assignments; provide oversight and direction to project managers and project test teams.
- Oversee the implementation of detailed project plans, including monitoring and control of budgeted costs and delivery timelines.
- Identify business requirements and support new business implementations or acquisitions.
- Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements, service levels, and customer requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders during all phases of projects.
- Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
- Analyze customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction with products and processes, including pre- and post-campaign or conference feedback.
- Coordinate and complete other tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Required Work Experience: 3 years of marketing support and project coordination and implementations.
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of business development, strategic planning, marketing support, and process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and techniques.
- Strong project planning and analytical/critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
Schedule
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, working remotely within Columbia, South Carolina. Candidates will report to the office as needed by management.
