Medicaid Program Manager

About Us AlphaGov supports government and public-sector organizations with program management, operational improvement, policy analysis, workforce planning, and data-informed decision-making. We are seeking professionals with Medicaid experience who can coordinate teams, manage initiatives, and support successful program delivery. About The Role The Medicaid Program Manager will manage Medicaid-related programs, projects, or operational initiatives. Work may involve policy implementation, managed care, quality improvement, eligibility and enrollment, provider services, or systems implementation. We welcome candidates from government agencies, health plans, healthcare organizations, government contractors, and consulting firms. Responsibilities Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and milestonesCoordinate staff, subject matter experts, vendors, and stakeholdersTrack deliverables, budgets, risks, dependencies, and decisionsSupport implementation of program policies and operational changesOrganize stakeholder meetings and maintain clear action logsMonitor performance and identify opportunities for improvementPrepare status updates, reports, and presentationsHelp resolve delivery issues and escalate matters requiring leadership decisionsSupport proposal development and project planning when relevant Requirements Experience supporting U.S. Medicaid programs or Medicaid-related initiativesExperience managing projects, programs, or operational workstreamsStrong organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and maintain accountabilityFamiliarity with at least one Medicaid functional area Candidates with relevant leadership experience are encouraged to apply even if their previous title was not Program Manager. Preferred Experience Work with state Medicaid agencies or Medicaid managed care organizationsProgram implementation, process improvement, or systems modernizationPerformance reporting and management of government deliverablesProject management credentials such as PMP or equivalent experience Benefits We welcome candidates interested in full-time employment or project-based engagements.
