Medicaid Eligibility / Authorization Coordinator

About the role

A healthcare organization is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility / Authorization Coordinator to manage Medicaid eligibility verification and service authorizations, helping ensure uninterrupted patient care and strong revenue integrity.

Responsibilities

• Verify Medicaid, MLTC, and third-party insurance eligibility and manage ongoing coverage verification using ePACES, payer portals, and other systems.
• Submit, track, and follow up on service authorizations, monitoring units, utilization, expiration dates, and recertifications to prevent coverage lapses.
• Partner closely with care management, intake, scheduling, and billing teams to resolve eligibility and authorization issues and maintain accurate documentation in HHAeXchange.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of Medicaid, MLTC, or healthcare authorization experience required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NY Medicaid, MLTC, CDPAP, and NHTD preferred.
• Experience with ePACES and HHAeXchange strongly preferred.

Pay

$26.44–$31.25/hour ($55K–$65K annually, based on 40 hours/week)
