Responsibilities

• Manage the full Medicaid application process for new and converting residents for an assigned group of nursing centers.
• Gather documents, submit applications, track cases through approval/denial, and manage Medicaid Pending accounts receivable.
• Manage the financial and clinical aspects of the Medicaid application process.
• Proactively identify residents needing Medicaid.
• Communicate with families, explain the process, and gather required documents.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and coordinate the collection of financial documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing center staff on clinical eligibility.
• Submit applications within 30 days and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor application progress and respond to information requests.
• Track cases in an Open Caseload Report/PCC.
• Escalate complex cases and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Inform relevant parties of denials and coverage gaps.
• Encourage Resident Fund Management/Direct Deposit and complete spousal estimates.
• Participate in case and aging reviews.
• Conduct weekly calls with Business Office personnel.

Pay

Posted Salary Range: USD $40,000.00 - USD $45,000.00 /Yr.
