Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate testing activities for Medicaid system changes, including: Functional Testing, Performance Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Operational Readiness Testing.
- Translate requirements and user stories into detailed test conditions, test cases, and expected results.
- Ensure traceability from requirements through test execution.
- Plan, develop, and review test models for product testing and release control efforts, including: Test plans, Test data, and Test scripts.
- Coverage of testing activities: Compass21 (C21), CMS/LTC Vision 21 (V21), and Phoenix PSWin.
- Coordinate and participate in trading partner testing activities.
- Serve as the testing liaison between business stakeholders, HHSC product family owners, application teams, and other vendors.
- Communicate testing status, findings, and risks clearly and concisely.
- Attend user and client meetings as needed and represent the testing perspective in cross-functional discussions.
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including: Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues.
- Develop and peer-review work products.
- Share knowledge and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Produce work products demonstrating quality, efficiency, and adherence to standards and procedures.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Medicaid systems, with a primary emphasis on: Compass21 (C21) claims processing, CMS (LTC), Vision 21 (V21).
- 10+ years of hands-on experience using, researching, and resolving complex issues on Phoenix and PSWin.
- 10+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements for Medicaid programs.
- Strong working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum development methodologies and testing practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a significant and varied workload independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical testing findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, business stakeholders, and cross-functional team members.
