Media Specialist
About the role
This position provides support and assistance to customers and staff at our Thompson, Hall & Jordan location. We are a group of caregivers committed to supporting families and our community during difficult times, dedicated to honoring, celebrating and remembering every loved one with compassion, care and professionalism.
Primary duties
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Interface with customers in-person, electronically and on the phone
- Computer proficiency with MS Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Administrative and clerical support
- Strong attention to detail
Primary responsibilities
- Collaborate with management, the media team, and IT to ensure seamless execution of all technical aspects of media productions—on-site, behind the scenes, and via online platforms
- Operate and support command center systems such as Deezer, Tukios Messenger, and other audiovisual tools
- Create and manage engaging content for Digital Funeral Screens in lobby areas, including promotional materials for events like the Lantern Lighting
- Develop customized media content for families and special events to enhance the overall experience and create lasting memories

Work environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, and fax machines.
Physical demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. Required to lift up to 30 pounds. Repetitive motion includes answering phones daily.
Schedule
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Work week is rotational: Monday through Friday, every other Saturday with the following Monday off. Local travel may be required between campuses for support.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three to five years media experience
- Great customer service skills, must display a calm attitude
- Comprehensive listening skills
- Ability to take direction
- Work great with people
- Team player
- Displays a "Customer First" attitude
