About the role

The Media Services Manager reports to the Vice President of College Advancement and is responsible for overseeing all print and digital marketing projects for internal and external college clients. The role provides timely and accurate information about RCC’s programs, activities, services, and achievements to local, statewide, national, and international audiences, and manages media, communications, and public‑relations initiatives to promote the college’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all print and digital marketing projects for internal and external college clients.
• Provide timely and accurate information about RCC’s programs, activities, services, and faculty/staff and student achievements to diverse audiences.
• Manage media, communications, and public‑relations projects to promote commitment to the college’s mission and values.
• Collaborate with senior administration and deans to ensure major college communications are consistent with strategic goals.
• Assist senior leadership in responding to escalating media inquiries.
• Oversee performance of paid media campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Execute and monitor institutional media‑relations strategies to increase brand awareness and community outreach.
• Work with the Multi‑Media Specialist to develop creative and written content for the web and social media.
• Write engaging content promoting RCC programs, services, students, faculty, and staff for print and online media.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned and assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration.

Qualifications

• Considerable previous experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of website development, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing, and internet technology, including paid and targeted online media tactics (e.g., AEO, geofencing, retargeting, social media advertising, Google Ads).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience developing customized marketing and communications solutions for diverse stakeholders such as prospective students, campus departments, and institutional leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $77,000 – $84,000, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full‑time position. Telework‑eligible; during the first six months, at least two on‑site days per week must be spent at the Warsaw campus for onboarding and collaboration. After six months, on‑site days may be split between Warsaw and Glenns as needed. Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
