Media Relations - Paid Intern

About the role

This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes, providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It offers an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in educational institutions are applied in an actual work setting.

Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department. Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on departmental needs. The Intern receives assignments from supervising staff, with work reviewed occasionally by the Manager and each assignment reviewed upon completion.

The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work harmoniously with others, take direction, and pay full attention to detail. Independence, tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment regarding Church doctrine, history, organization, policy, and protocol are required. Work hours may include nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks under general supervision, with responsibilities varying by department and need.
• Meet challenging deadlines while working collaboratively with others.
• Take direction on assignments and ensure attention to detail.
• Demonstrate independence, tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment in alignment with Church doctrine, history, organization, policy, and protocol.

Requirements

• Focus on media, communications, PR, technology, and creative thinking.
• Must be enrolled in an educational institution or within one year of graduation.
• Must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
• Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment.
