An appointed position on the ACYA National Executive and a member of ACYA's Communications Team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee social media operations in English and Chinese (Instagram, Xiaohongshu, WeChat, and others).
- Develop and design graphics and posters.
- Contribute to copywriting and captions.
- Co-develop the overall marketing strategy with the Communications Director.
- Recruit, lead, and develop the media team.
- Represent ACYA in public forums, when required.
Requirements
- Time commitment of ~10 hours/week, aiming for regular posts throughout the week.
- Ability to work well managing small teams and long-term projects.
- Experience managing stakeholder relations and partnerships.
- Demonstrated understanding of social media engagement and how to foster online communities.
- Demonstrated experience in media and/or visual design (Digital Media experience preferred).
- (Optional but preferred) Experience managing across cultures, particularly with respect to the Australia-China relationship.
