Media Control Technician

Perform anti-virus scans on all optical media for various programs. The ideal candidate will actively participate in all phases of the media control desk to include:

• Tracking of classified media in accordance with the NISPOM and Lockheed Martin Procedures
• Capturing metrics on performed tasks
• Completing logs as necessary for classified uploads
• Opening/closing of a closed area
• Interacting with high level customers/program management
• Processing destruction of classified material
• Working with hard drives, tapes, and media.
• Assisting Asset Management team Information System Security Officer (ISSO) tasking as needed
• Other Security related tasking as assigned

Required Tasking/Responsibilities

• Support Data Transfer Requests (DTRs)
• Facilitate the Data Transfer process to include but not be limited to:
• Ensure all required personnel review and approve
• Ensure media is delivered from media custodian
• Ensure all other steps in the process are completed by the appropriate personnel
• Virus-scan media at source and destination (per transfer)
• Create media for transfers – daily as described:
• All transfers submitted prior to the morning deadline (~0900) must be completed before the afternoon transfer deadline submission (~1300) the same day as submission.
• All transfers submitted prior to the afternoon deadline (~1300) must be completed prior to COB the same day as submission.
• All urgent, ad hoc transfers must be completed within the timeline listed in the request.
• Load files to destination systems – as required during workday
• Communicate status – as requested
• Complete DTR paperwork – as required
• Maintain a drop-box on the unclassified and a secure system to facilitate transfers for the engineering team
• Perform anti-virus scans on optical media
• Tracking classified and unclassified media IAW NISPOM and LM procedures
• Capturing and reporting metrics
• Completing logs as necessary for classified uploads

Highly Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of handling classified material
• Knowledge of working on a classified system
• Familiarity with Winzip and virus scanning software
• Linux or knowledge of Linux systems

Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance

• Task driven with ability to work independently
• Ability to lift boxes up to 20lbs
• Ability to go up and down a ladder
• Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with the team members which fosters team success
