Carolina Reserve of Laurel Park, a community of Navion Senior Living, located in Hendersonville, NC is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration-related roles in a cutting-edge Assisted Living Community.

About the role

This is a part-time, 1st shift opportunity with every other weekend required. Team members have access to Tapcheck, a mobile app that allows instant access to earned wages.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff
  • Promotes and protects residents' rights and treats residents with dignity and respect
  • Attends in-service and education programs and obtains continuing education required by state regulations
  • Demonstrates the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions
  • Maintains confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Maintains professional appearance by adherence to community dress code
  • Documentation is completed in an informative and descriptive manner
  • Reports all changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor as soon as possible
  • Completes work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Operates equipment safely and only uses equipment for which previous training has occurred
  • Utilizes infection control precautions and practices in all activities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and reports all safety violations

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course
  • Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required
  • Adequate written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
