Med Tech Day PT

About the role

Merrill Gardens at Sheldon Park is currently seeking Med Techs to support residents within the community. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors and committed to providing an atmosphere that values individualism and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and complete daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

Requirements

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver.
• Able to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care.
• Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Schedule

• Full-time employees receive 7 holidays and 11 vacation days.
