About the role
The Palmettos of Parklane is seeking a Med Tech / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support their team. This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Key responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and performing post-mortem care.
Responsibilities
- Assists patients with activities of daily living
- Provides personal care to residents
- Comforts and assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Understands and practices universal precautions with all patients
- Performs tasks and procedures as assigned or reports incomplete tasks to the charge nurse
- Aids in the preparation and accompaniment of patients during admission, transfer, and discharge procedures
- Performs post-mortem care
Qualifications
- Must be certified nursing assistant or enrolled in a nurse aide training program
- Attend in-service programs to learn procedures and develop skills
- Meet state requirements
- Sensitive to patients' physical and psychosocial needs
- Capable of charting accurately in the Patient Care Record or similar forms
- Pleasant and cheerful personality
- Tactful and courteous approach with patients and visitors
