Med Tech/Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts. Follow procedures regarding documentation of medications.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Schedule

• This is a part-time position.
• Caregivers will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts.
• Every other weekend is a requirement.

Pay

Hourly pay is $16.00 per hour with room for growth.
