Job Summary

We provide comfort of home to independent elders, with leisurely access to delicious & nutritious meals, wellness & social activities, assistance with tasks of daily living, and medication assistance. We seek PCA's for immediate hire.

Responsibilities

• Count controlled substances and report any missing items to Administration.
• Prepare and bring medication to the dining room during meal times.
• Assist residents with medication, including those requiring medication before breakfast, afternoon, or after dinner.
• Administer injectable medications under supervision, ensuring proper disposal and documentation.
• Update and maintain the medication administration record (MAR), ensuring it matches physician orders.
• Contact doctor offices for necessary clarifications and prescription refills.
• Record all pertinent information in the 24-hour logbook.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred prior experience with medication assistance and working with the elderly population.

Qualifications

• Positive, dependable, and caring personality.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong emotional and physical stamina to support residents in their daily living needs.
• Availability to work all days of the week.
• Interest in personal academic growth and development.
