Duties And Responsibilities

• Assists in developing, coordinating, and performing the tasks on the service plan according to the resident’s preferences and abilities
• Maintains and documents in the Medication Assistance Record
• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan
• Responds to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner
• Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents
• Promotes resident independence and self-care
• Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents
• Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered
• Completes incident reports accurately and timely
• Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses
• Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment
• Affixes assistance to housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean
• Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident

Qualifications

• Must hold state required caregiver certification certification, complete state required delegation and/or training requirements, and successfully complete the medication pass competency
• Must have word processing skills
• Must have current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit, And Fingerprint Clearance Card as required by state regulations
• Must complete all state required trainings as necessary
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience

• Caregiver Certification
• Med Tech Experience
• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Food Handler Certification
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• TB 2-Step Skin Test
