Overview

Parkland Health Center is part of BJC HealthCare and offers a unique combination of world-class medicine and local roots. Located in St. Francois County, Missouri, Parkland Health Center includes Bonne Terre Hospital (1911), Mineral Area Regional Medical Center (1952), and Farmington Community Hospital (1969).

The facility provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including oncology, wound care, and cardiac services. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital, while Farmington offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical services.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including IV management, utilizing the nursing process, under the supervision of the RN. Implements treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
• Assists in developing and updating the plan of care with regard to the patient's age and developmental needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Nursing Experience: No Experience
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• Licenses & Certifications: LPN - IV Cert
