Med Surg RN

Responsibilities

• Work with patients in a hospital setting and provide them with an array of services
• Apply knowledge and skills in accordance with accepted standards of clinical practice to facilitate problem resolution and achieve individualized patient goals and outcomes
• Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct
• Deliver care in a manner that protects and preserves the patient’s dignity, rights, values, beliefs, privacy, and autonomy
• Work independently while recognizing that continuous care requires a team effort
• Cope with the emotional needs of patients and their families
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Respect the patient’s privacy and maintain confidentiality

Requirements

• Valid State nursing license or a license from a compact state
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in your specialty
• Current TN driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
• BLS, PALS & ACLS Certification (Depending on floor)
• Current TB skin test
• Satisfy employee screening results (background check, drug testing, motor vehicle report, licensure verification, abuse registry, OIG excluded individuals)
• 2 letters of recommendation, resume & immunization records
• 2 references
• Pass a routine physical (Depending on accepted facility)
