Med Surg Nurse or LPN

About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical-Surgical unit, responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinating care with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care
• Evaluate care effectiveness
• Oversee and support other caregivers
• Perform duties aligned with organizational standards and values

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact state
• BLS certification
• Hospital experience preferred
• Additional certifications preferred

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Perform physical tasks like gripping, reaching, and bending

Unit Focus

Care for adult patients with conditions such as infections, respiratory issues, and COVID, developing skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation and acute medical management.
