About the Role
The Med Surg Float Pool Nurse provides direct patient care across six Medical and Surgical floors, utilizing therapeutic communication and maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and implement physician orders
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs
- Document patient conditions accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and educate patients and families
- Act as a resource during clinical duties and when serving in charge nurse roles
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse licensure
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- Preferably two years of clinical experience
