Med Surg Clinical Nurse - Part Time

About the role

Provides direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities supporting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while engaging in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN licensure
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred; no supervisory experience necessary
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive role with alertness and safety awareness
