Med Surg Clinical Nurse - Part Time

About the role

Provides direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating patients on managing their illness, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients to communicate and coordinate care effectively.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual values.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (RN license required)
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of Med Surg experience
