About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients, considering physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients and families on illness management and care plans.
- Participate in safety and quality initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communicate care plans effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate and address patient needs.
- Maintain alertness and adhere to safe work practices in this safety-sensitive role.
Requirements
- Nursing diploma or associate’s degree (required).
- Active RN license (required).
- Less than 2 years of nursing experience (preferred).
- BSN degree (a plus).
- Telemetry experience (preferred).
