Med Surg Cardiac Clinical Nurse

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care within a Med Surg Cardiac unit, focusing on adult patients with cardiac, surgical, respiratory, and renal needs.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory initiatives.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors.
• Develop and communicate comprehensive plans of care, ensuring continuity across care settings.
• Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and respond appropriately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active RN license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSN preferred.
• Telemetry experience and a BSN degree are preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive environment.
