About the role

The MedEx internship at St. Mary's Medical Center is a work-based internship designed to provide patient care experience in a clinical setting. It requires successful completion of prerequisite courses in the Health Science Program of Study. Students are high school seniors selected to participate in the MedEx program in either Cabell or Wayne County. They choose a health career pathway for in-depth study, focusing on either a Patient Care Technician or a Medical Assistant.
