Role Overview The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents with accuracy, dignity, and safety, following physician orders and regulatory standards. Key Duties Include Administering medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication AdministrationDocumenting all medication activities accurately and in real-time in MAR/TARMonitoring residents during and after medication passes and reporting any concerns or refusals promptlyObserving residents for health changes and administering medications for symptom relief as orderedMaintaining clean, organized medication carts and rooms, and adhering to infection control and safety protocolsCompleting narcotic counts and ensuring compliance with policies Qualifications And Skills Required High School Diploma/GED and age 18+Medication Administration certification, CPR, and First Aid certificationsStrong documentation and communication skillsPreferred: Senior care experience The role emphasizes attention to detail, regulatory compliance, resident safety, and the ability to observe and respond to health changes promptly.
