Med Aide

About the role

Castlewood Assisted Living in Castlewood, South Dakota is seeking a Med Aide to join their team. They are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to assist people who can no longer take care of themselves.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Provide medication assistance as needed
• Support residents with hygiene and grooming tasks
• Participate in scheduled rounds to check on residents' well-being
• Document resident observations and progress in the resident's chart

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and ability to handle stressful situations
• Passion for providing compassionate care

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Good physical stamina
• Ability to lift and move residents as necessary
