About The Opportunity
The Mechatronics Technician Apprentice will attend technical courses at Waukesha County Technical College while also gaining paid, hands-on experience at INNIO’s Waukesha facility.
What You’ll Do
- Learn how to support, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve advanced manufacturing equipment and systems used in the production of large scale engines.
- Participate in a structured apprenticeship program.
- Attend technical courses at WCTC while working onsite at INNIO.
- Learn the fundamentals of mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, motors, drives, and industrial controls.
- Develop strong problem-solving skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED, or on track to graduate by Spring/Summer 2027.
- Interest in mechatronics, automation, robotics, industrial maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or advanced manufacturing.
- Ability to meet WCTC admission and placement requirements for the applicable associate degree program.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and commitment to completing a multi-year apprenticeship program.
- Participation in high school technical education, robotics, manufacturing, automotive, engineering, electronics, welding, machining, or related coursework.
