Mechatronics Engineer

About the role

A fast-growing robotics and automation company in the Greater Boston area is hiring a full-time Mechatronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of advanced robotic systems used in automotive service applications.

Responsibilities

• Robotic System Assembly & Integration (40%)
• Troubleshooting & Testing (25%)
• Mechanical Fabrication & Prototyping (20%)
• Deployment Support & Documentation (15%)

Requirements

• Hands-on automotive experience, preferably related to tires or vehicle service systems
• Strong electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematics
• Experience with wiring, cable fabrication, and cable management
• Ability to work with mechanical fabrication tools and processes
• Experience working in engineering lab or prototype development environments
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Familiarity with Linux environments or command-line tools
• Experience with industrial automation or robotics systems
• 3D CAD experience using Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar tools
• Experience prototyping test fixtures or mechanical assemblies
• Experience with metalworking, machining, milling, or welding
• Familiarity with robotic deployments and field testing
• Experience supporting customer demos or pilot programs
• Veteran or military technical experience preferred
• Strong mechanical intuition and problem-solving mindset
