Mechanical Trainer Technician - SBST

Scope Of Responsibility

  • Communicate with Plant Managers and Supervisors regarding mechanical personnel having difficulties meeting Sabre Industries standards.
  • Aid in the training of new employees and those needing certification upgrades or refresher courses.
  • Identify and address mechanical issues related to personnel, consumables, or equipment.
  • Ensure all mechanical personnel operate within established SBS mechanical parameters.
  • Develop, implement, track, and oversee an electrical training program, including initial training, function-specific training, and recurring training.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance with codes.
  • Complete special projects in all production aspects as needed, completing them in a timely manner.

Position Requirements

  • Training in vocational schools or related on-the-job experience.
  • An associate's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain excellent organizational skills.
  • Capable of working independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and communicate effectively in English.
  • Knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints, tape measures, and safety manuals.
  • Ability to train others.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and handling materials.
  • Working in an outdoor manufacturing environment for extended shifts, including weekends.
