Main Functions

  • Perform mechanical maintenance activities on facility equipment.
  • Support mechanical engineers with testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
  • Estimate workloads and assist with scheduling activities.
  • Support equipment reliability and maintenance improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
  • Participate in all applicable safety programs and procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Estimate workload requirements to establish completion dates.
  • Absorb support mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Support proposal preparation and cost estimate development.
  • Actively participate in the use of all job safety tools.
  • Review job packs prior to execution.
  • Identify and mitigate safety concerns before work begins.
  • Execute maintenance activities as planned.
  • Record technical history as required by the workgroup (GRT, datasheets, etc.).
  • Provide feedback on job pack improvements to the Execution FLS.
  • Request permits and notify supervision if permits cannot be issued within 30 minutes of the requested time.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on pumps and air compressors.

Required Qualifications

  • Discipline-appropriate certification(s) if applicable, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with pumps and air compressor maintenance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate field conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to assist others.
  • Ability to work under changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience

  • Pump mechanic experience is a major plus.
  • Oil & gas production facility maintenance experience.
  • Rotating equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance execution.
  • Equipment reliability and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience documenting maintenance activities in maintenance management systems.

Additional Notes

Candidates with strong hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting pumps, air compressors, and rotating equipment in an oil & gas production environment will be most competitive for this opportunity.
