Mechanical Technician III

Job Title: Mechanical Technician III Duration: 12 months initially Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day Location: Hopkinsville, KY This opportunity is with a refinery and chemical complex, supporting the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of critical mechanical systems and process equipment. The role offers hands-on involvement across pumps, compressors, valves, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and precision measuring equipment within a multi-level industrial environment. This position is well suited to candidates with strong industrial maintenance capability, mechanical troubleshooting expertise, and experience working safely in demanding plant conditions. Required Education High school diploma plus completion of a trade school or apprenticeship certificate or program Required Skills Ability to install, modify, maintain, inspect, repair, adjust, and align mechanical systems and process equipment independentlyWorking knowledge of pumps, mechanical seals, bearings, utility system components, piping and valves, and material processing equipmentAbility to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issuesAbility to verify, adjust, and align functional dimensions using hand tools, blueprints, diagrams, repair manuals, calipers, micrometers, scales, and alignment devicesAbility to perform laser alignment for motors and driven machineryCompetent Microsoft Word and Excel skillsAbility to operate a forklift and other industrial mobile equipment as requiredAbility to work in a multi-level industrial environment, including work at height via ladders and steps and in varying weather conditionsAbility to lift and move 50 lbs daily and up to 100 lbs periodically Preferred Qualifications 3 years of experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Mechanic, or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment About Airswift Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
