Mechanical Technician Gearboxes and Winches

Responsibilities: - Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gearboxes and winches. - Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions. - Assemble and disassemble machinery components as required. - Ensure compliance with technical documentation and quality standards. - Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours. - Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve equipment performance. - Operate heavy machinery and test systems to ensure proper functionality. - Implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime. Requirements: - 6–10 years of experience working with gearboxes and winches. - Expertise in mechanical systems and understanding of technical diagrams and schematics. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. - Ability to use diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments. - Proficiency in using hand and power tools effectively. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Qualifications: - Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Proven experience with mechanical maintenance and repair of gearboxes and winches. - Certification in mechanical systems or similar is advantageous. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks on-site. - Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights. - Ability to stand for long periods and work in various environmental conditions.
