Job Responsibilities
- Enter work orders into the appropriate computer systems, monitor required work, and keep track of parts in stock.
- Carry out expert upkeep and repairs on a variety of mechanical and physical structures, working from sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
- Determine the priority for the planned equipment shutdown by performing preventative routine maintenance, executing diagnostics, replacing parts, and testing equipment operations.
- Examine procedures for their relevance and evaluate the suitability of engineering equipment.
- Examine mechanical equipment to identify potential problems and participate in process improvement efforts to identify inefficiencies and design flaws.
- Collaborate with other team members as necessary to resolve problems and determine the root cause.
- Recommend improvements and make mechanical adjustments.
- Manage and collaborate with vendors and contractors to monitor and enhance output in order to advance our technology and provide better products and services while maintaining plant safety.
- Perform or assist with operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
- Inform management of any unusual equipment or operational issues as well as the requirement for additional materials and supplies.
Job Requirements
- An Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school; or high school diploma or equivalent, and minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and computer skills required.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience is required.
- Experience in welding and machining is preferred.
