Mechanical Technician

About the role

At Global Laser Enrichment (GLE), we're developing world-leading uranium enrichment technology and we're seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our innovative team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, commission, and maintain mechanical components and systems.
• Welding and fabrication of mechanical components.
• Work alongside mechanical and control systems engineers to troubleshoot and support testing activities.
• Maintain essential facility systems such as HVAC, piping, pumps, compressors, and more.
• Offer valuable input to engineering designs for continuous improvement.
• Support equipment sourcing and infrastructure maintenance as needed.

Requirements

• Active DOE/NRC Q-clearance or equivalent (e.g., DOD Top Secret).
• Associate degree and 2+ years of technical experience or 5+ years in a relevant technical field.
• Hands-on experience in pipefitting/welding, rigging/lifting, vacuum and pressure systems.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with nuclear facility protocols or highly regulated environments is preferred.
