Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Provide direction and leadership on MEP scope(s) on data center projects
  • Manage safety, quality, schedule, production, logistics and coordination
  • Represent the company in meetings and interfaces with all project stakeholders
  • Coordinate and direct all subcontractor and vendors
  • Works with the project team to establish goals and develop accountability
  • Assumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project
  • Verifies to ensure subcontractor completes the assigned scope of work
  • Sets up to meet or exceed deadlines while meeting safety requirements, productivity goals, sustainability goals and quality

Critical Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques as well as applicable local, state and federal building codes
  • Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled construction, and repair tasks
  • Possess strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing, and cost control
  • Knowledge of general survey and layout practices
  • Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards
  • Interact and communicate effectively with project team, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Effectively lead and manage teams
  • Thorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask
  • Proactively plan and identify risks to meet or exceed the deadline while meeting the safety requirements, productivity goals, sustainability goals and quality
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace
  • Read, understand, and red-line work orders, budget, change orders, safety standards, plans specifications, shop drawings, submittals, manufacturer’s literature
  • Read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, blue prints, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedules
  • Possess strong customer service skills
