Mechanical Superintendent-EPC
About the Role
As a Superintendent at Rosendin, you will be responsible for directing, training, and administering the efforts of all Subcontractors within a specific area. You will communicate regularly with the Project Manager and Subcontractors regarding project timelines, startups, and staffing requirements. This role offers a true sense of ownership and the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and high-profile projects in the nation with a proven industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with the Project Manager and subcontractors to coordinate processes and resolve mutual concerns.
- Work with the Project Manager to establish new hiring processes and procedures for field personnel.
- Schedule and coordinate material shipments to the job site.
- Oversee and ensure all projects in your area are completed according to forecast.
- Oversee the Safety Program and ensure all Safety Standards are met and maintained.
- Ensure Field Staff follow pertinent government regulations and contract documents.
- Assign field staffing to meet or exceed project timelines and budgets in conjunction with the Director of Production.
- Coordinate with the Tools/Equipment Manager regarding tools and inventory for projects.
- Manage the Production and Field Staffing Team for a specific area, including direction, coordination, and evaluation.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training Field Staff and support staff.
- Assist in developing training programs for Field Staff to ensure company excellence.
- Conduct area Production and Field Staff meetings as required.

Requirements

- Expertise in commercial electrical field management, design, and contracting.
- Self-starter and problem solver.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization in varying situations.
- Familiarity with team-building techniques.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities with a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar facility, construction technology, methods, and equipment.
- Combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
Working Conditions
- Variable work environment; work is conducted both indoors and outdoors with varying environmental conditions.
- Up to several hours per day may be spent operating a motor vehicle.
- General work environment includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending.
- Work is primarily conducted indoors with varying environmental conditions (e.g., fluorescent lighting and air conditioning).
- Exposure to customer facility environments.
- Noise level is typically low to medium but can be loud on a job site.
- Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
Travel up to 20%.
