About the role
We are seeking a mechanical staff designer with a growth mindset and superior interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is eager to grow into an industry leader, takes calculated risks, and thrives on autonomy. This role requires a team player passionate about innovation, a tireless learner, and capable of designing projects independently with peer support. You will also interact and build relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine code review and analysis.
- Performs routine design calculations and sizes standard equipment.
- Follows design standards set by the Project Manager, Lead Engineer, and Engineer of Record.
- Researches and presents equipment and design options to the Project Manager, Lead Engineer, and Engineer of Record.
- Follows company master design standards.
- Ensures the QA/QC process is followed and documented.
- Develops a working knowledge of all system types within their discipline.
- Develops knowledge of current design trends and best practices.
- Creates project-specific details, schematics, and sketches.
- Assembles specifications, including project-specific information.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited university or college.
- At least 2 years of related building systems design experience.
- Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Pay
Salary range: $66,200–$78,100 annually. Individual compensation is determined by experience, education, knowledge, skills, geography, and performance. Eligibility for annual incentives may apply.
