Monogram, a Zimmer Biomet Company, is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our team in Austin, Texas. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Monogram, you will be part of a team that develops innovative robotic technologies designed to enhance patient outcomes and relieve pain worldwide.

How You'll Create Impact

• Develop and specify product functional requirements and testing strategies according to user needs, internal and external standards, and regulatory requirements
• Design, test, and integrate components and sub-assemblies to produce the overall final product design
• Identify root causes of issues, determine potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements
• Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the development team, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists
• Achieve relevant performance, time-to-market objectives, and product and project cost targets, all while achieving product quality goals
• Develop hardware according to system and subsystems requirements, create CAD 3D models and detailed engineering drawings meeting company drafting standards

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience developing power tools
• Experience in engineering simulations such as FEA and CFD
• Experience leading or participating in risk analysis evaluation and dFMEA
• Familiarity with risk management tools and techniques
• Proficiency in stackup tolerance analysis techniques for mechanical assemblies
• Experience developing medical devices and familiarity with V&V testing and 510K submission activities
• Past experience with thermal treatment of stainless steel and welding experience

Your Background Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling software
• Experience in EMC and Safety Testing for IEC60601 certification
• Experience with Solidworks
• Direct experience working in the Medical Device industry
