Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members including providing guidance and training
- Delegate tasks and assignments, monitor progress, and check quality of direct reports
- Interact and communicate with internal and external customers to resolve issues
- Track and approve attendance, scheduling, tool calibration and timecards
- Manage employee conflict, safety incidents, and emergency situations
- Maintain shop equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
- Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
- Track issues and Quality Operating System (QOS)
- Lead daily shop organization and clean-up
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an automotive mechanic
- Minimum of 6 months of informal leadership experience
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (specifically Word & Excel) and good computer skills
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to lead and mentor others
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass our motor vehicle record standards
Qualifications
- Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire mounting and balancing and related equipment
- Knowledge of electrified vehicles and associated battery systems and their safe operation and handling
Skills
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
