Mechanical Sales Engineer

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Sales Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our talented team. You will use your engineering background to design custom mechanical solutions and build lasting relationships with commercial clients, driving growth for our design-build commercial HVAC projects in the Nashville, TN area.

Responsibilities

• Project Acquisition: Identify and secure new commercial design-build HVAC project opportunities across Middle Tennessee.
• Engineering Design: Estimate and design efficient mechanical, ventilation, and air conditioning systems tailored to client needs.
• Technical Consultation: Explain complex engineering concepts, energy payback metrics, and system benefits clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relationship Management: Maintain strong partnerships with general contractors, building owners, and property managers.
• Proposal Development: Prepare precise project cost estimations, engineering takeoffs, and formal sales proposals.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in HVAC sales engineering, mechanical design, or construction estimating.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with load calculation software, energy modeling tools, and AutoCAD or Revit.
• Local Insight: Strong familiarity with the Nashville commercial real estate and construction market is highly preferred.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills to effectively pitch to corporate clients.
