Mechanical Quality Inspector- 2nd Shift

About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our production team on the 2nd shift at our Wendell, NC facility. This in-process inspection position on the assembly lines is responsible for performing inspection duties on our Switchboard products.
Shift Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $22.46 + $1.00 shift differential
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process mechanical inspection duties.
- Inspect each product to company Quality Standards and given guidelines.
- Review specifications and drawings to ensure products are built correctly on the assembly line.
- Troubleshoot equipment failure and implement corrective action.
- Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports.
- Work with production and engineering teams during the inspection process and report any findings.
- Adhere to developed processes and methods, or seek ways to improve them.
- Adhere to all safety rules and prioritize safety for self and others.
- Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
- 1+ year of prior work experience with production and inspection.
- 1+ years of experience working with torque wrenches and torque verifications.
- Strong analytical skills to perform point-to-point or sequence-of-operation checks.
- Experience working with various types of inspection tools and knowledge of product drawings.
- Ability to read and work with schematic drawings, layouts, wire lists, including circuit troubleshooting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with SAP, Salesforce, and SieOps.
- Advanced knowledge working with 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Commitment to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System, striving for continual improvement.
