Responsibilities
- Develop HVAC and/or plumbing construction documents using Autodesk Revit.
- Utilize Autodesk Revit to develop coordinated 3D building models and construction documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD to prepare 2D details and supporting drawings as required.
- Capture and coordinate designs with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project disciplines.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, and plumbing sizing calculations, as applicable.
- Produce coordinated, accurate, and code-compliant construction documents.
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and existing conditions assessments, including field verification for renovation and addition projects.
- Afford assistance with construction administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and addressing field issues.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing HVAC and/or plumbing systems for commercial buildings.
- Experience performing HVAC load calculations and/or plumbing sizing calculations.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit is required.
- Familiarity with applicable mechanical, plumbing, and energy codes.
- Experience coordinating MEP systems with other disciplines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality construction documents.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer Intern (EI) certification is a plus.
