Mechanical Millwright
About the role
This facility's primary products are TJI Joists and Microllam Laminated Veneer Lumber for beam and header applications. We are seeking individuals who have a thorough comprehensive knowledge of mechanical equipment, processes and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech lumber manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Machinery lubrication
- Repairing & troubleshooting mechanical power transmissions
- Bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
- Repair and troubleshooting of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Metal fabrication and basic principles of cylinder repair
- Some troubleshooting and exposure to industrial electricity issues
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- A stable employment history with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in Industrial Mechanical work
- A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations
- Experience with Machinery lubrication
- Ability to repair and troubleshoot mechanical power transmissions
- Previous experience with bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
- Ability to repair and troubleshoot issues with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Past experience with metal fabrication and basic principles of cylinder repair
- Good working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues
- Able to pass a pre-employment examination
Qualifications
- Vocational or technical school certificate in related area
- Past employment experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP or other CMMS
- Knowledge of fire protection systems
- Air compressor maintenance experience
- Ability to comprehend blueprint
