Mechanical Millwright

About the role

This is an ongoing hiring opportunity for the Mechanical Millwright position at Vallourec. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis through our ATS.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily rounds and documenting equipment status
• Tackling mechanical delays and executing repairs across the mill
• Driving down maintenance costs through smart, proactive work
• Scanning and tracking all parts used from inventory during your shift
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives (CIT, MADE, RCA, CAPEX)
• Advancing through our Skill-Based Pay Curriculum to grow your career
• Maximizing wrench time and work effectiveness with strong competencies

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Preferred: Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or Journeyman Millwright/Machine Repairman card
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills: Power Transmission, Hydraulics, Pneumatics
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures
• Positive attitude toward teamwork, safety, and quality
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed
• Must pass a mechanical assessment test
