About the role
The primary function of this role is to handle material, weld assemblies, and operate a plasma cutter. In addition to loading and unloading trucks, driving a forklift, and operating a yard crane. This role reports directly to the Mechanical Fabrication Manager.
Responsibilities
- Handling material such as cutting/punching angle iron.
- Welding assemblies.
- Operating a plasma cutter.
- Loading and unloading trucks, driving a forklift, and operating a yard crane.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years’ experience in welding is required.
- Strong mechanical background is required.
- Valid driving license with clean driving record is required.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.
- Experience with basic computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office, is a plus.
